This is a decent starter light for this purpose. I think it may be more suitable for use with a laptop on a desk that in my arrangement.
Cons
I still have to put my ceiling light and lamp on with this light open blinds up with this pc light its not performing. Would not recommend.

The device is connected via usb although the wire is short

When assembled the phone holder is located in the centre of the lamp and does not allow the photos to be exposed

It doesnt retain the last light setting so you do have to cycle through the settings to your preferred one each time which is a little annoying
