Pros & Cons
Pros
Watt rating is more than sufficient with led bulbs that typically use only 3 - 7 watts each. Unit provides power to either 12 volt or 15 volt (useful for wire runs greater than 200 ft) works perfectly with my existing 15v lighting. I have this set up ... Read More
Ring is very innovative. There are still a few bugs that need to be worked out. I hope they include this in a future update.
Great product so far. Integrates well with other products. After messing around with the malibu brand, and the like of expensive transformers, along comes the very well priced ring version.
The transformers work flawlessly when linked to motion sensors. That also solves the problem of motions detection dead spots. The doorbell cameras pick up the animals that have activated the lights.

Cons
I have only 104w total wattage linked up to this transformer which has a 200 w rating! do not buy. Received an opened, used item.
The scheduling works 80% of the time. Just does not have the smart app-based controls. Would rather suggest others to go with regular transformers with built in timer and photocell for dusk/feature.
Highlights
Quality
These are awesome, my old transformers buzzed and used a ton of electricity, they needed to be reprogrammed after each power failure.
Very easy to wire in and the connections have stayed solid.
Just recently, at just about 4 years old it started to fall apart.
2 separate calls, and about 4 total hours on the phone and they still have no idea what the ring transformer is.
Price
For 99 bucks, it is a good quality deal.
For the price it cannot be beat.
This cuts down energy costs while providing bright low voltage lighting security around the perimeter of your property.
Shipping
They said i was being sent a replacement a month ago and it never arrived.
Competitiveness
They have a smaller form factor than the big box brand versions.
The 200 watt rating on this model is more than sufficient with led bulbs that typically use only 3 - 7 watts each.
