I read another review that complained that there was no dusktodawn sensor and so the motion sensor would trigger during the day

I got everything connected to my ring system and lo and behold there was a setting that i could use to disable the light switch if the ambient light was too high

I tested it and yepif it was too bright out the lights didnt turn on

There is also a separate dusktodawn setting in the ring app but i disabled that and am just using the motion sensors light sensor to determine when to trigger the string lights

I was worried that the sensor would not be able to serve my needs due to the distance of its placement from the bridge and also its being powered by only 3 aaa batteries
