Pros

Solar chargers save battery and not overcharge them. Charger faces morning sun so it keeps the doorbell charged at 85-87% which eliminates the need to recharge every couple of months. You must know you will still need to manually recharge your doorbel... Read More

Easy to install using holes already drilled for the doorbell. Easy to mount and connects well with the ring doorbell camera. Provided install screws fit flush do not use any other screws.

Haw to improvise. Seems to work fine. But not the sellers problem.

The solar is now flushed, properly installed and the camera is set up properly. I live in the desert so it's a great place to use solar powered devices. Doorbell solar panel has been installed.

The battery level now stays in the mid 60's percent range. Doorbell operating very efficiently as before. How often that occurs is the challenge.

Cons

Great idea, terrible product. Poor quality control, poor packaging, and useless support.

Solar charger never charges my doorbell past 4%. This is frustrating because i got it to avoid frequent charging. It's not like my front porch is covered or shadowed. This charger is a waste of money.

I am still using this solar panel for my camera and have not lost charge on my camera or had to bring it in to charge in over 3 years.

Great investment as we don't have to charge the battery ourselves.

Today, after 3 cloudy days, the battery is at 64% and the solar charger is charging.

I wasn’t sure at first if it would get enough sun to work but i purchased it over 30 days ago and i have not had to charge the unit at all.
