Pros & Cons
Pros
When the sun is out, and at times, even when it is overcast, it will charge the batteries. I have not had to recharge my ring once. The only negative (only one) of this panel is in the bracket.
Properly and discretely securing the wire was the longest part of the installation. It's only two wires so if you have some heat shrink or a soldering iron just cut the wires and add or subtract what you want then reconnect.
This item works as advertised. Value is very good. Cudos to the developer.
Cons
Ring does not charge as advertised. All it does is slow down the draining of the batteries.
This solar panel is nothing more than a trickle charger. It gets full sun for 4-5 hours a day and does not charge the doorbell at all. This is the second solar charger that won't charge my ring.
