Pros

Full wireless connectivity makes it super easy to set up. Nighttime video quality isn't quite as good, but it's decent. My only complaint is the amount of space the camera can capture.

You have to make sure the camera connects to your home wifi via the ring chime unit, or directly to your wifi router. After plugging it in, works 100%.

Easy installation and high-quality video and audio capabilities. Motion detection is great and lets me know that there’s movement immediately.

Cons

You are better off with stick up camera, with a solar panel and a nice solar light. When you zoom in on a license plate of a car parked in my driveway (the camera is mounted right above it), you get nothing but pixelated mess, totally useless.

It is plugged in and has excellent wifi and does not work. Troubleshot it for a few hours 1 foot from my wifi. Says it’s hooked up to the solar panel but doesn’t charge the battery & says 0% battery use.

The battery gets low after 6 days.

All ring products constantly lose connection while on live view.

Even if not, they are a good value overall since they are so easy to install and the batteries last so long.

99 last october and now 8 months it is $50.

I bought it on sale and had to further purchase the hardwired kit - at full price the value proposition is horrible.

Otherwise, a good value for the money, and reliable for surveillance and security.

Sometimes it will record the leafs of the trees moving while others it will miss the delivery driver.

This feature has come in handy when i've had delivery people at my door or when i've needed to scare off potential intruders.

I added this to my ring camera system and it works as well as the others.

Spec-wise there are better models out in the market.
