Pros & Cons
Pros
The camera comes in two variations. I have a solar panel for the doorbell which greatly extends the time between swapping batteries. I find it helped having a spare battery to rotate round so everything is always in working order.
Impressed by the ingenuity of the packaging. It's still early days yet as to how well this all fairs, but i feel a bit more relaxed knowing as yet it's working as intended.
The base plate needs four screws, then you slide the angled head plate onto that and one screw makes tye connection solid. It’s very easy to install and set up and the batteries seem to have great longevity.
Cons
The camera needs a strong wifi signal to work well. The signal quality from the modem to the camera is terrible and causes all sorts of issues. The camera disconnects it’s self from wifi all the time, too know connect i’ve too get the ladders out and ... Read More
Video quality is poor for an item labelled pro - camera quality is same as other ring cameras at 1080p which seems to be less than competitors. Even if you manually switch the light on from the app it goes out after 30secs and isn't controllable by ho... Read More
When it does record, the sound is awful and drops in and out. The recorded footage often suffers from ghosting. Even if it did capture a cars licence plate, you wouldn't be able to read it. Also the sensor is very poor.
Sensitive and unreliable camera. Works consistently for a few days and then goes offline. I have to restart it many times for it to work properly.

Competitiveness
It is a brand new product, so ring might deal with this.
Try as i could, i could not find on ring’s website any installation instructions except for a similar but different ring product.
