Pros
Easy to install, daytime and night time picture clarity is excellent. Good camera day & night, good motion sensor. I have one camera on my shed, to my surprise the field of view covers my entire garden.
Cons
It's not so much the camera, it's the whole shambles that is called ring. Don't risc your home with this junk. The software is rubbish, the ethos is rubbish and everything related to ring is rubbish.
Bought camera last may with no subscription. Have emailed them, no response. Haven't been given a full refund from this company. Im sending my back for a refund.
The live view feature only stays on for a short while and again even if you are logged in it takes more than a few seconds to reactivate. I have to go back up ladders to do the deinstallation /reinstall, which means sorting the whole app out again. Ne... Read More

The picture is very clear but the motion detector is hit and miss we have ordered something that will make our wifi stronger so hopefully that will help

As it is at the front of our house the camera motion detection is often set off so i suspect if you have the camera somewhere where it wont pick anything up then maybe it will last longer

As far as i can see unless you watch the camera on live stream constantly you only get recordings once the motion detection has been triggered

The problem with this is it takes a second or two for the camera to start recording so we have seen people walking out of the drive having been to the door but the camera didnt pick up their face because it didnt switch on quickly enough
