Pros

It has a great picture, easy to setup and install. Durability is great.

Ring cameras work great and can be viewed with wifi or mobile data. Videos can be saved and downloaded. Connecting ring products with the app is soo easy a child can do it. Allows us to be as engaged with the cameras as we want to be.

Cons

This camera has a lot of drawbacks. The sensors are terrible. These cameras are terribly overrated. My fault for assuming that for this price it would record live my battery operated doorbell does.

Had this same issue with a robot vacuum. Does not hold charge and does not charge from the solar panel. Software upgrade to prevent solar panel from charging the battery after 80%.

Live feed only works for about 15 minutes then it disconnects. No matter how close i put to wifi, it keeps going offline! It reconnects and last maybe two days before going off line again.

For about $100 i set up 2 cameras to watch entry points inside the house.

Competitiveness

The new combined cloud storage cost is much better than having 2 different product types and 2 different providers (doorbell and cameras).

I switched out some older arlo cameras for these.
