I have an older wifi camera system from 6 years ago that has much better picture quality and cost half the price of ring. For instance i can zoom in on my older cams and picture still is good but with ring it just blurry.

I had to turn on a light next to the camera so that i can see into the kitchen the 2nd is the picture of the kitchen light on only and the third picture is of the kitchen light on and the lightning camera in the difference

The pantilt motion can also be useful for shaking loose cobwebs if a spider builds its web too close to the camera at the time im writing this the camera does not pan or swivel on its own to monitor a room

You can only pantilt manually through controls in the app
