Pros & Cons
Pros
The app and setup are the same and smooth. It responds so much faster on the app when you don’t use your wifi. Having all cameras in a single location on an app is great. The datum app is good.
The poe (power over ethernet) feature is a huge benefit to people who run multiple or remote cameras. These cameras get their power from either the provided poe ethernet injector or from your poe router.
Video quality is decent, but not great. Works great, stands up to -50 windshields here in south dakota. Using my amazon show 10 inch screens i can ask show street or show back door and the full screen view comes up.
I hope this long out of stock period doesn't mean they are discontinued. Just as great a mystery is why no more of these are available right now or for the foreseeable future. You won't be disappointed.
It warrants the price. I know there are better systems that are quadruple the price but this does enough. The service is incredibly affordable, at only about $10 per month for as many devices as you have at your home for 60 days of recording history.
Cons
Video quality is terrible. The ring app just doesn't work well compared to other cameras apps. I already have too much invested in the video doorbell and stickup cam to switch. The other ring products i installed rarely have that issue.
Highlights
Quality
Very easy to adjust motion detection areas and even schedule times where not as sensitive.
Simple to set up and works perfectly
I have the cameras hooked up to a netgear poe unmanaged switch using cat8 ethernet wires that are rated for outdoor use.
Wired cameras are never easy to set up specially if you have to run wires in the most difficult spots around the property.
Price
The cameras cost more up front, but you save money on the long run with the subscription.
What i don’t like is the storage plan which just seems overly expensive so i’ve opted to not use that plan.
Competitiveness
Poe is so much better than wifi—more reliable, better picture, etc—i have no idea why this is the only poe option among the con... Read More
Ring also has the best subscription plan compared to other alternatives.
If familiar with other ring products the app and setup are the same and smooth.

It would look much cleaner if they had a mount where the cat6 came out the hole and through the mount into the camera not to the side
