The only way to turn on the lights is to use the ring app.
Ring says device needs to be connected to troubleshoot it. To get it to reconnect, you have to uninstall it from the wall. Then they want you to buy an extender wifi, what?
When the products do work they’re fantastic. Do not rely on this product. Just not worth the money. A complete waste of money.
Garage product and even worse customer support/warranty. Still under warranty. A 30 day warrantee on this is a real risk. Both speaker and microphone are garbage.
The backing plate attached to the electrical box is poorly designed. The original backing plate is 1000 times better. Person detection is about 5% accurate on new gen. The previous generation is 99% accurate. My family feels no sense of security with ... Read More

Lights come on with motion even if subject is out of range for recording

The floodlight camera has added to our perimeter security and we bought another identical unit to enhance our front yard

This will also allow you to control the lights and view the camera within the alexa app which is a nice feature

Security cameras are pretty much useless without having the recordings 🤷🏽♂️i wish it would integrate with apple and allow shortcuts to be used “turn on the floodlights” or allow a widget so you can see the video feed without having to open the appif you want to use this within the alexa app you have to allow alexa microphone permissions
