Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to install and set up, logged into our wifi network first time and has remained stable in terms of connection. App is okay if a little slow.
Fish eye distortion can at some angles make people look a little odd but certainly recognisable. The angle of vision is excellent and the area covered can be amended infinitely from within the app. It also copes amazingly well with direct sunlight.
Human recognition mode works well and the ‘radar type mode’ shows with dots where the visitor/intruder has walked is is now. Is it a fast responsive bell? Yes, if you, yourself is also fast and responsive. Notification of motion or door bell button “p... Read More
Product is the plug in one. Pro's - you order it, get it professionally installed and arrange for hidden cabling. Con's - batteries need replacing.
Cons
Video quality is poor, especially at night. Users can't use the device without using a vpn. Camera goes offline when you need it the most. Can't get notifications from the camera when away from home.
The browser app does not zoom. The android app is full of bells and whistles but none are easy to use. I would advise anyone looking to upgrade from their pro to a pro 2, don’t.
This forced privacy breach is despicable. Amazon need to be more transparent about this at the point of sale. This device need a 24v dc supply and an existing uk transformer is unlikely to supply more than 12vdc and sometimes only 6vdc.

Packaging/appearance
Worth the money though just to sit and watch the clouds on the timelapse!
My product is the plug in one so the cable has to be routed somewhere and will possibly require a hole to be drilled through the doorframe.
Competitiveness
Yes instructions are pathetic but, it’s not the end of the world.
The only annoying thing was that the ring pro 2 seems not to work with standard uk 5ghz wifi frequencies and refuses to connect... Read More
