Pros & Cons

Pros

Was easy to assemble and was machined perfectly. Easy to assemble. Good product and fast shipment.

The 6u rack meets my need for moving some network gear off a desk to under it while keeping the gear off the floor and movable as needed. Both the post feet and the casters are included. The brass-colored bolts are for mounting the castors.

The riveco 6u open rack is a good size for the limited space available in our japanese rental house. The metal is thick and sturdy, but not so thick that it's too heavy to lift. Wish it had a lid on top.

Great unit. Great purchase. Good customer support. Took a few minutes to notice my mistake.

Cons

The weight rating of 1300 lbs static and 700lbs is way off and wrong. Holes for casters and levelers are wrong size. No instructions were included in the packaging.

Quality

Love this rack, quality is great and just the right size for a home lab

It seems to be a very good product.

Shipping

The shipping box was a little bit of a wreck, but the parts inside were well protected and had zero damage.

Competitiveness

I used this to set up an hp dl380 2u server, a 2u synology rackstation and three different switches.

The nuts on the bolts don't require a separate open-end wrench to hold while screwing which is more of a blessing than you might imagine.

We live in gentler times now and such candor is limited to the realm of it

However the numbered u positions 0106 are on the short sides of the rack while the logo which one would expect to be the front is on the long edge and the picture shows both castors with brakes on that long edge

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

No reason you cant mount the castors with brakes on a short side i suppose

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However on the long sides you cannot easily use the lowest or highest cage nut holes from the outside because they are behind the topbottom lip of the frame

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

There isnt enough space between the cage nut rail and frame to insert or tighten a screw assuming the typical 4 screw mounting configuration

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I suppose you could mount a device with the bolts on the inside of the rack and cage nuts on the outside since its open which would be the opposite of customary use and not as tidy
