The biggest difference is the light is mainly directed downward since it has a metal cover so it does not provide ambient lighting for the entire room

The photo is spot on but the screw holes on the side of the mounting plate arent aligned properly

You can turn the lamp part to get the lamp to face downward but then the cord is off center

My dedication in stars in regards to brightness is because there is no dimmer and for me the bulb is a tad too bright for a nightstand
