Oddly the most durable rugs are not the most expensive because the most durable are synthetic rugs made of manmade fibers like olefin polypropylene nylon and other synthetics can often be cleaned in your driveway with a hose but they are considered inexpensive cheap rugs

The black lines are raised giving it a nice texture and the pattern is not symmetrical which adds to the one of a kind look and feel even though it is not truly a oneofakind or hand knotted pattern

I do wish it had a bit more of a rubber style backing as it was sliding a lot so i had to get rubber drawer liners to cut and put under it to keep it in place on my wood floors
