I am well satisfied with the purchase of this radio.
To mount this battery you will have to remove three screws and replace them with the ones supplied with the battery.
So in summary: it's a good quality product, a handsome design, a little expensive but then it is roberts.
As previously mentioned by someone else be very careful with the long screw.
Competitiveness
Supremely easy to swap the old worn rechargable battery out for for the new on!

With the long screw it feels like the blind hole is too shallow but first gently screw in and unscrew several times and each time it will go in deeper and deeper but not all the way

You will have to trim the screw 3mm with a file and then it will tighten down ok

Whilst charging it will override the battery and will power up the radio as normal

There are three leds red charge green fully charged and yellow less than 30 charged

This was is a sealed lithium battery unit with no replacement parts so when it’s dead it’s dead just like a computer laptop battery
