Pros & Cons
Pros
I have both hardwood and area carpets and it cleans both. It has no problem handling the fur from our black lab puppy! We have a * rug under a coffee table that initially the robot got caught up in.
The app is really easy to use with great customization options. It remembers and saves the maps for both floors which is super handy.
Roborock q7+ max is as hassle free as it gets. The vacuum part is also superb. Not a deal breaker. It is the lexus of robot vacuums.
This vacuum is a great upgrade from our previous one. I am not disappointed and it's one of the best first robot purchases i have ever made. Happy with the product, cleaning, durability, and self-cleaning.
The dustbin has a self empty mode into a larger bag but it is also easy to remove the dustbin/ water combo container and dump the dust into the trash which i do once a week and refill the water so it efficiently mops. The dock also holds the replaceab... Read More
Cons
The roborock q7 lacks power and is directionally impaired. The roller on the bottom is held in by a couple of small plastic clips that come unclipped at the slightest bump.
This vacuum has difficulty emptying the dustbin efficiently, especially with cat litter. Stopped auto-emptying within a month. This does not pick up dog hair, it leaves it in curly bundles all over the floor. No carpet or rugs higher than 1/4.
The actual vacuuming is pretty good, but everything else is pretty amateur. Even the fine print says you have to pre-vac yourself at least 3 times real good before you start using it. Tried cleaning, not inclined to jury-rig a fix on item of this pric... Read More
I have to have a dedicated guest network because of how outdated the darn wifi module is.
Highlights
Quality
The app is super easy to use, and the robot itself leaves awesome lines in carpet.
It’s very efficient, and still has 80% battery after a vacuum round (our main floor is about 1200 sqft).
Front wheel broke off before a year of use .
Has only gotten itself stuck a few times in the 2 months i’ve owned it.
Price
Yes, is definitely on the higher price range of most people’s budgets including my own but i had a treat yourself moment - and ... Read More
I'm sorry, i have a life and didn't spend $500 to go through all this.
My wife loves it she was a little sceptical because of the price but now that we've had it a week she is mad that we did not buy it sooner.
I was worried about shelling out the $$$ but i think overall it performs as expected from a a.
Shipping
It mapped out house very quickly and cleaned and still had battery left.
Within the time of owning it i haven't had to replace the bag too many times yet.
Competitiveness
The mapping function was pretty good compared to other brands.
If you are in the market for a robot vaccum, i would definitely recommend this model if you only have hardwood floors in your h... Read More
This brand is usually more expensive than even the roomba brand, which i think is considered top of the line.
I also find the app a little confusing compared to my other robot vacuum’s app.
