Pros

Rockport northfield is a great shoe. They are adequately waterproof for heavy rain, if you avoid deep pools. Roomy interior and large toe box allow me to wear mid-weight woolen socks.

It has a different sheen than natural leather, but does a great job of repelling water. They last a loooong time with regular waxing and care. They never disappoint.

Cons

Rockport is clearly not up to par with the original reputation. All i have to do is pay shipping to send them back.

Shoe is way over sized for a 10 w. I think it was mislabeled as x_wide. Super tight on width. But no longer a good shoe for width.

The laces began to break apart in days even in places that were not under tension like the outer loops.

Despite being waterproof, they don't make my feet sweat.
