I get through calibration and half way through tuning when steam updates force stops the game and restarts steam

Ok restart the game have to start back over with calibration and now im getting feedback from the cable which stops if i hold the cable then if i get it quiet when i strum to calibrate i hear my guitar making sound from the speakers but it doesnt register with the game

It looks kind of like guitar hero but you use a real guitar as the controller
