Pros

It's very versatile. Directionality is great as well. Plus opportunity for 10 year warranty, upon proper registration. However, in almost every case this microphone outperforms all others.

The audio is crisp and clear; perfect for the podcast/t tutorial videos. Professional-grade sound means that this microphone can be used in high-end applications, even for theatrical movies.

It works well camera mounted in run and gun situations and really shines boomed. No wind noise and clear vocal audio.

Good workhorse and gives clean, bright audio when paired with the right recorder or preamp and camera.

This mic has really top-notch sound quality.

For $700 you'd expect rode to include their sm3 or something, but no.

Have been very impressed with the audio quality even compared to the rodelink filmmakers kit wireless lavaliere.

It is very good, i love it compared to other mics i own because of the xlr it uses.

Do not purchase from brooklyn professional audio this product or any other one as far as i'm concerned.

The gain was so much better on the ntg-3 that i decided to return the ntg-2 and pay almost 3 times as much for the ntg-3.
