Highlights
Quality
The sonic quality is vastly superior to any built-in camera mic - even my canon 5d mk iii.

Price
I got a deal for 200 on amazon marketplace, and at that price am happy with this microphone, don't think i'd pay retail though.
For the price, i really expected better than this.
Packaging/appearance
The mic doesn't like being carried in the bag.
Competitiveness
Using with a nikon d7100 and various lenses.
I bought this mic to use with my blackmagic pocket cinema camera and it captures truly beautiful, crisp sound.
Both of the videomic pro models are great, with high output levels and a rolloff filter, and run on 9v batteries.
You'll need a 9v battery to power it but it lasts forever with one.
