Pros
Love this keyboard. Great control over zones/layers/midi. The key action is heavier on the roland, and slightly faster on the yamaha. Coincidentally, a hammond organ uses 9 drawbars.
The rd-2000 is worth the price even if you just use it at home. It's far more capable than i am. The rd-88 is arguably a better value for most players.

Roland built a quality product that gets better and fun to play the more you learn it's potential!
In general it seems that yamaha builds great instruments, but the cp4 did not feel of the same quality as the asking price.
I think this is a huge advancement.
Price
The rd-2000 is worth the price even if you just use it at home.
Packaging/appearance
I would have loved to have seen the unison tune and stretch tune parameters available, but they did not include these in the rd-2000.
Competitiveness
To have all of this incredible capability for the price, there's simply no competition that can touch it.

The only other close competitor was the yamaha cp4 and i think the sound quality between them is largely a matter of taste so would call that a draw although i felt the roland had more possibilities for adjusting the audible nuances in an instrument that were important to me
