Pros & Cons
Pros
Cooling is the other area where this unit excels. With apologies to muhammed ali, this drive bay does everything i want. Fan is quiet and powerful enough to keep the hard drives and sbc attached to the device cool.
Works perfect. Well engineered. Good engineer. Would definitely recommend it.
These are great little hot swap cages. Easy to add and swap hard drives.
Works great for nas storage. Single sata port servicng two hard drives - two sata ports servicing four hard drives. Perfect for a 4 drive raid.
Cons
Any reputable hot swap cage is ~$70. It's not rockets science. Will not buy from this seller or this brand again.
Due to the design of this plug's mating receptacle on the drive cage, it is very easy to insert the plug the wrong way. The ribbon wire on the side (which controls all the led lights) sticks out and was quickly broken when i installed.
