The only plastic that could potentially touch the water is on the lip of the lid just open the top if you want zero contact with plastic

Anyhow i would have said that i love this pot with 5 stars but it has a little plastic flipper that covers the pour spout and the plastic hinges that hold it in place are so flimsy that one side was broken off within days of beginning to use it

Noisy at first then as the water heats up the noise gets less

With my old kettle you had to scrub around the metal heating element and would still leave hard water bits

Kettle insulates very well with the water still remaining burning hot even 30 minutes after completing the boiling cycle
