Pros

Dehydration is much easier than canning. Works well for dehydrating apples, although it takes longer than the manual estimated (manual estimated 6hrs for thin sliced apples, took nearly 24hrs to get them fully dry). Good control of the heat output.

The price is relatively cheap. It works beautifully. It is nice to have a brand new version of a kitchen device that has worked well for me for so long.

Dried my first batch of jerky using a brisket. Works well for drying, and used to renew some year old tpu that was not printing well. Works best to periodically rotate (up and down) the trays for more even drying.

You can dehydrate thicker stuff on six trays than you can in some six-tray dehydrators. Can fit a roll of filament very well using this'spacer' tray.

Cons

Dehydrator is 11 months old and the trays are brittle and falling apart. This is not hot enough to work for drying 3d filaments. no drip tray.

Packaging/appearance

Right out of the box this dehydrator functioned exactly as promised, and i am finishing up some fruit as we speak.

If things drip, they can actually fall through the vent onto the counter.

Competitiveness
