Pros & Cons

Pros

This peeler feels sturdy and hefty in the hand. It is wicked sharp, which is good. Easy to install and works perfectly.

It appears to be exactly the same as my older one, except for a logo change. This is one product that swings in price from 17+ to 24+. Buy it when sells for the lower price. It's worth every penny!

Cons

The blade cannot be easily removed, thus making cleaning this item impossible. Luckily the extra protrusion on the side is not very sharp either. Perhaps the dual sided blade of this model is the reason for no replacement blade?

This just really misses the mark. It's disappointingly deceiving.

It's completely worthless. But only for a few times. But please stay away from this garbage.

It peels well if you are peeling toward you -e. It requires considerably physical exertion in order to peel. When it peels, it peles only a small area. Perhaps rösle's swivel model is more geared toward my style of peeling.

This is one product that swings in price from 17 to 24 back and forth as if traded on wall street

It’s wonderful that the german company’s make replacement parts

Peelers are not something we think about except when we are frustrated while using them

But it has one big limitation which is that the position of the blade sets it back from the edge of the handle which can make it hard to pare large foods like eggplant or turnips and rutabagas or even large potatoes

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You can see that there is a “shoulder” on the rosle that stands above the blade which is centered in the handle

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

That shoulder is what makes it hard to peel a food with a large circumference

We can always use two parers in our busy home kitchen but i am dismayed that such a great parer has this limitation which could be eliminated with a simple design change

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I bought the fixedblade version specifically for peeling apples
