I have looked at commercial interpretations for years but they were all unsatisfying for one reason or another mainly panels of mesh that made them useless for rain

I thought i had found an acceptable one in my size from a company that sells me a shocking percentage of my wardrobe but when it arrived i saw that the upper part of the crown was solidly attached in only four places with the rest being a supposedly stealth vent to the mesh underneath

I was shocked to find a hat that didnt say one size fits most which is always too small for my head

There was actually a size 8 which is even a bit big but which should work well especially when you look at an interior label that recommends buying a slightly larger size than usual due to probable shrinkage with washing

I understand it’s a boonie hat and it’s not meant for style but the way it was packaged was not acceptable for me at least
