Pros & Cons
Pros
It feels really durable and i'm confident it's going to last me a long time. The only real caveat is the vulnerability of the lead pipe (sleeve) at the tip. I am a fountain pen lover, so i'm definitely a fan of nice writing instruments.
Highlights
Quality
And in typical japanese style, the quality remained high.
It is a well built and sturdy product.
Price
The cadmium yellow was a very limited release, so now opportunists are price gouging at 4 times the original price.
Competitiveness
From there, this new bold hexagonal brass bodied & stainless steel tip mechanical pencil would serve as a benchmark for the competition.
I recently purchased a rotring mechanical pencil rose gold 600, and i have to say i'm so impressed!
The first rotring 600 came out in 1989.

While its made of sturdy steel the mass of the pencil can create added momentum when dropped and if the tip hits first theres a good chance itll bend

Sometimes it can be recovered with a little careful bending back into center
