Pros & Cons

Pros

The twisting mechanism works perfectly with good feedback to indicate when the pen is deployed/retracted. I'm not a huge fan of the gold/brass metal trim (i'm more of a silver/steel guy), but that's personal preference.

Overall, this pen looks and feels like a $50 pen, though some may not like the industrial aesthetic. The writing experience is excellent, and i haven't had issues with fatigue when writing.

The pen uses standard parker-style refills which are easy to find. Comes with a decent ink cartridge. The refill is nice and smooth, and leaves an excellent black line.

Action/retraction is smooth and precise. The whole tip retracts into the pen’s body for safe keeping. A thumb mechanism for retracting the pen would be more convenient.

Cons

Rotring 800 pen action is not smooth and just snaps. Also ink is old and faded. There is railroading when ink is applied to paper.

Quality

It’s a very high quality product, which i definitely appreciate.

Durable, well balanced, and a great ink flow that doesn’t dry quickly even if left extended.

If you have a 600 pen, this really isn't worth the upgrade.

Price

But i am not as happy paying $30 for the pen as i was for the pencil.

Competitiveness

It feels a bit more premium than the 600, and the twist feels great.

The ink does dry out pretty easily but that’s a separate review from the pen itself

Im hoping changing the refill to a finer point will give it the extra zing i was hoping for

I like the look when i wears in a way but it isnt like i am putting it through a lot of force to chip and rhe grip wears feom hand usage to the brass underneath

I wear it clipped w the clip on the outside of my pocket so as i pass things it somtimes bumps them and after two weeks the critical edges are wearing rather heavily
