Pros & Cons
Pros
The pencil is well balanced and nicely weighted. The negative reviews that say there is some tip wobble are way over blown on this aspect.
The mechanism that extends the sleeve has a satisfied spring. One of the main concerns people have with the 800 is the sleeve.
Cons
It pains me to have to leave a negative review on the rotring 800, but what can i say? It is simply a bad product that is ridiculously overpriced. The lead constantly snaps. A mechanical drafting pencil is suppose to be precise.
Highlights
Quality
I also take notes and write quotes with the rotring.
That little bit of movement has not affected my experience with the pencil.
I have multiple reviews of this product line.
Theres really no instruction for on how to do this for the 800's.

The retractable sleeve was the deciding factor to pick the 800 over the 600

I did not scratch the finish over knurl area and there was to my surprise somewhat minimal scratches where the clip was from when i tried removing with no oil but again using no oil at first created the friction i needed to allow me to use enough force to be able to bend the part of the clip that wraps around the body of the pen by twisting back and forth
