The barrel is a matte, cross-hatched black. These are classy pencils. When one picks it up you knowthat it is an engineering marvel.

Pencil has retractable lead pipe and brass clip. Perfect for precision drawing and alignment with other tools. Retractable tip makes it very pocketable.

Only noticeable difference is the retractable tip but it's a nice feature. There is play in the nib, but it is hardly noticeable. People say that there isn’t much of a difference between the 800 and 600. Instructions are distinct & specific.

This is the rotring for those who want a disappearing tip. Every rotring i've ever purchased or used has worked flawlessly. I feel very comfortable in recommending any rotring model.

Cons

It’s almost impressive how worthless of a writing tool this is; a swiss quality watch of unreliability, if that makes any sense.

Against my belief, the pencil doesn't retracts easily everytime.
