Pros

The shredded does the job and is very portable. Never had a problem with jambs or overheating. Shredded about 3 shopping bags full so far.

It's a very smooth operating machine and, being the first shredder i've owned, exceeds my expectations.

Shreds credit cards well and no problem with staples.

We had a huge backlog of items to shred and the unit would heat up and stop after about 30 minutes of continuous shredding.

Shreds to teeny, curled type pieces that can never be put together - never!

Price

It is the best bang for your buck!

I just trashed a $200 shredder that didn't have half the features of this one.

Disappointed, maybe, that i didn't get the best buy price if i got the best buy inventory.

For the price, don't think you can go wrong.

The other thing i learned was that this stuff makes good packing material, which is a nice side benefit.

I like it alot because no one will be able to piece anything together and i can use the shreaded paper for packing material.

Competitiveness

Other comparably priced machines cut paper into long strips or cross-cuts large enough to read.

The one i go my mom cost less than the one i had purchased at circuit city years ago.

    Ive shredded tons of paper junk mail still in the envelope laminated paper and even the occasional credit card with no problems and everything comes out in incredibly small pieces that nobody would piece back together

    Theres a certain satisfaction in using this to shred a paper that my cheapo unit never gave me

    Also it can be a bit messy to muck around with the disposal bin

    I think this probably only happens because i fill it up too high and thus it spills when i slide out the bin and i dont count this against the unit at all
