Pros & Cons
Pros
The royalbaby has dual handlebar brakes and no push backward on the wheel brakes like the schwinn. I do like the thicker handlebars and wider tires on the freestyle, which is about half the cost of the moon.
The brake levers are short and easy for my kid to press. The strength it takes to pull brake lever and actually stop the bike is more then his little hands can manage. Thankfully, the steps are not too complicated for the band style brakes.
This bike is the real deal for a bike that is engineered to preform for more than one season. Other than the mild confusion i had, this bike is super high quality.
Not a bike you'd purchase in a standalone bike shop but fine for a lightweight kids beginning bike. Only issue is that she favored the back-pedal braking on the old bike.
Cons
The bike is so heavy - 4-5 year olds are not able to handle. The pedal just twists on with no nut on the other side so after a while riding it just loosens up and falls off. The instructions for the bike seat says it is adjustable but it isnt it wont ... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Quality is better than some other bikes you can get at the store.
This is probably my 3rd or 4th royalbaby bike purchase and i am super satisfied with the product.
My little dude loved his strider bike but struggled with the smaller and bigger pedal bikes he has.
I'm very surprised by the experiences a few others have had with sub par quality products.
Price
The bike is great and the price is great.
Given the price point it met my expectations.
My only concern is that the price is on the higher end!
Packaging/appearance
This bike took a bit of time to put together but the packaging was great and the bike looks very nice once built.
It was reasonably easy to assemble and all of the pieces were in the box.
Competitiveness
My 3-year old kid likes riding it a lot!
That being said, i do believe it is a bit of a steep price point for a child’s bike with similar less expensive models available.

It would’ve been nice to see them included but i can see that this bike is more for kids who already know how to ride a bike well

I opted for the larger model so it wouldn’t be outgrown and useless too quickly
