Pros & Cons
Pros
It's quite lightweight and the materials and the brake makes the bike look very high end. This bike is lighter than every single other kids bike i looked at and i feel as though i scoped out all of them. This is at least 10 lbs lighter and the brakes ... Read More
The brake levers are short and easy for my kid to press. The strength it takes to pull brake lever and actually stop the bike is more then his little hands can manage. The disc brakes are good, and the color is a very vivid pink.
The bike is beautifully designed and well constructed. There was one issue though and was quickly fixed by the supplier. I'm very surprised by the experiences a few others have had with sub par quality products.
It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and fast. It is sleek and with the adjustable seat, a good fit.
Cons
The bike is so heavy - 4-5 year olds are not able to handle. The pedal just twists on with no nut on the other side so after a while riding it just loosens up and falls off. The instructions for the bike seat says it is adjustable but it isnt it wont ... Read More
Highlights
Quality
It is extremely sturdy with the training wheels (no tipping!
The tires are quality and the grips are very nice.
- the royalbaby doesn’t have spokes - just three thick pieces of aluminum between the wheels.
They are super weak and not safe coming from a bike that has back-pedal breaks that lock the tires.
Price
Given the price point it met my expectations.
The bike is great and the price is great.
It’s made in china, so at the current price of 280 bucks, it’s well over twice the price it should be.
My only concern is that the price is on the higher end!
Shipping
I received my order promptly and complete.
Packaging/appearance
This bike took a bit of time to put together but the packaging was great and the bike looks very nice once built.
I included what it looks like out of the box.
Royal baby’s bicycle ships in a large box that is a bit unwieldy, but the box is not particularly heavy.
Competitiveness
Quality is better than some other bikes you can get at the store.
The bike looks and rides better than other more expensive bikes.
It does not use premium parts, but none of the kid's bikes do near these price points, you'd need to spend more than 2x to get ... Read More
That being said, i do believe it is a bit of a steep price point for a child’s bike with similar less expensive models available.
