It is shorter and wider than my old bamboo one. The size is most ideal for use and is much more convenient than the taller but narrower designs offered by others. This is extra big, but not too big and is very well built.
Filter also means the gases can escape so the compost doesn't begin to ferment. Broccoli and cauliflower stink, but i thought the filters would be strong enough. The filters work so well and being vegan she finds that she can fill it up pretty fast.
This product is more costly than most countertop compost bins but well worth the price. Since it's convenient to have on the counter, we're much more likely to our compostable waste in it rather than throwing it away.
Cons
Despite weekly emptying and cleaning, it now springs leaks. The lid is way too loose. I believe it might be smell-free with the filters but fruit flies?

After only three weeks, the broccoli/cauliflower killed the filters, and i had to change them.
Price
$50 seems a little steep for a compost bucket, but it does actually contain the odors, and prevents outbreaks of fruit flies.

Since we dont use the filter or lid with it i cannot speak to how effective the filtration system is

This isn’t stainless steel all over even though the ad says it was but it will have to do for now till i can find one stainless steel all over the inside of the lid is not stainless steel and that is extremely important

It holds a lot but still needs to be emptied every 23 days with a garden and all the fresh produce coming in from it and that is just starting

At first i had tried using a composting biobag in it but it began to disintegrate almost immediately from the high moisture content

I was a little bit worried due to other reviews about smell fruit flies but i can honestly tell you that it only smells when you take the lid off i havent had a single fruit fly
