Pros & Cons
Pros
These stainless ones are stronger, more solidly built and work even better that the old 1960's versions that i used. The ice seems to last longer and forms faster because the metal conducts that cold much faster than plastic.
There are shards of ice after cracking it, which is fine. Run the frozen tray under the faucet or let it sit out and melt slightly before you crack them. Due to the covid-19 quarantine i was forced to order everything online.
Cons
I love the tray but disappointed that it has already malfunctioned in less than 6 months. Item is vintage only in appearance, not in usefulness. Amazon profits and i lose $22. Would not recommend this product.
Highlights
Quality
Some people gave bad reviews, but it may have been lack of experience other than the product.
This is a solid, quality product that should last you a lifetime!
Start with the cons…yes, it’s difficult to pop the ice out - especially attempting to just use the handle.
I threw it away and ordered this product.
Competitiveness
I freeze the tray inside a zip-lock bag.
