Pros
Use this as a swimming pool skimmer basket. The mesh is much finer than a regular skimmer bucket, so it collects more stuff. Works as a skimming basket for my in ground pool.
It fits into the top of my pot so it makes the straining easy. Pasta, hamburger, aquarium gravel etc all work just fine with this strainer. Using as a steamer basket in a 4 quart ss pot.
Cons
This 4 quart mesh strainer is poorly made junk. The mesh is flimsy.

The cost is even less for metal as the disposable plastic ones.
Packaging/appearance
I strain my homemade yogurt thru a cheesecloth in the strainer.
Pulled the strainer from the boiling water to emerge in ice bath.

It fits inside my instant pot like a champ.
