The zipper isn’t that hard to use. The cooler comes with zipper lube to help remedy this.

Cons

Save your money and buy a yeti. Definitely a design defect. Their website lets you leave the review, and send you an email to confirm your email address, but then rtic took my review down.

The zipper is abnormally stiff, even for a waterproof zipper. To make the zipper easy enough to operate, you have to oil it regularly. Oiled according to instructions to no avail.

The seam on the top comes un-glued and rtic wont do anything about it. Their warranty is one year, so we will be finding a new brand that invests more into their zipper quality. My cooler is days past the 1 year warranty with a broken zipper.

We own another rtic cooler and they both are great quality, hold up well, and keep our drinks cold on all of our outdoor adventures.

They put some heavy-duty zippers on these things.
