Pros

The zipper is tight but sturdy, it's like that because it completely seals when closed. The zipper lube helps.

Rtic cooler products are top performers and priced competitively. Looks and performs just like the yeti but for a fraction of the price.

Cons

Zipper is abnormally stiff, even for a waterproof zipper. Oiled according to instructions to no avail. Top lid came un glued at the seem.

Not worth 1/2 the price. Not replaceable by warranty. Spend the extra money and buy a yeti or orca.

The zipper is very difficult to maneuver making the cooler difficult to open and close… even after a year of use. After a year the seam on the top comes un-glued and rtic wont do anything about it and then your cooler is completely worthless.

Does not perform as well as advertised. Routinely jumps off the track with very minimal usage.

I bad thing about this cooler, it needs lube on the zippers right out of the box.

Competitiveness

I am a fan of rtic cooler products - they are top performers and are priced competitively.

All in all it’s a good cooler for the price.

We have replaced the pull with a heavy-duty key ring and that has been working much better to open and close the reluctant zipper.

However, if you're in the market for a well-made cooler for shorter trips or outings, the rtic soft cooler may be a good option for you.
