Pros

Brushed stainless steel finish with black trim, it adds a modern, clean look to our kitchen. The darker color looks so much cleaner. It's sleek and symmetrical.

The foot pedal works great to open the lid. The lid closes perfectly and seals well.

This rubbermaid garbage can is sturdily constructed and all metal in the step/lid construction. This is the best trash can i’ve ever purchased.

It is very easy to take out the inside compartment that holds the bag. Easy to remove the refuse bags and install a new bag. The removable inner can makes changing bags a snap.

The trash bag stays in position securely and does not slip down into the rescan. In my opinion, this is helpful because it forces kids and teenagers put on that bag correctly.

Cons

The lid lock feature is a complete sham. It is not fingerprint resistant as advertised! Within minutes there were fingerprints from my kids. The trashcan looks horrible.

After using it for less than 24 hours i can say that the lock switch is totally useless!

We switched from a motion censored trash can to this one, because we were tired of switching out the batteries every month.

Price

It was a little on the pricer side but it is definitely worth all the money!

I will admit thé original price is a bit pricy but i got it during a sale, so worth it!

I was debating buying this trashcan because of how expensive it seemed.

I would buy it again with discounts, not sure about the full price.

Packaging/appearance

No dents or scratches, & packaged really well.

I received this yesterday and it came looking great w/no physical issues externally.

Cons: there's a wide lip inside near the lid hinges that collects food, and the metal exterior dings easily.

Competitiveness

However, if you look around at other trash cans, many of them are similarly priced and don't look as nice.
