Layed rug over carpet. It cleans well! It slides a bit but it's no big deal if you pin it down with a desk or a chair on one end. If you are sensitive to odors, it's worth unrolling and letting air out. Make sure to purchase the sticky pads as well.

The colors match perfectly with the girls play room. I'm wondering now as our foot traffic is high in the hallway if it was the right decision.

This rug is super thin. It’s rough, and doesn’t settle even after a week of having it the corners are all still curled up. This rug has jute backing which is slippery and not suitable for laminant floors.
