The other is that the hot plate only stays on for a couple of hours then goes off and theres no option to turn it back on without making a fresh pot of coffee

Unfortunately this has resulted in coffee leaking out on the morning brew covering the kitchen work top in coffee

The first replacement was bought from a spares online retailer at a whopping £33

When the second jug failed we contacted russel hobbs and found out that they did a replacement jug part number 189980 not advertised on their website earlier this year for £16
