Pros
The design of this kettle is sleek and modern, with a polished stainless-steel finish. It fits in with other stainless steel appliances well.
Cons
The switch just breaks randomly after it boiled. It now has a tendency to leak when full! Blew after exactly 3 months and fused the whole house. The finish around the water gauge is poor almost looks like starting to fur.
Russel hobbs in a british company, isn't it? This is completely impossible to remove the red plastic.
This kettle has a lot of red plastic inside the kettle. It's not satisfactory to have significant amounts of plastic in a stainless steel kettle. Not very old and gets only moderate use.

I find full kettles a little too heavy so usually hold them over the base of the spout this one being metal gets extremely hot and i have burned myself on it

In addition the three years plus an extra year mentioned in the description is inaccurate it is a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty increased to 3 years if you register online

It is also worth noting that if they find the defect is caused by limescale they will charge for the repair

The filter is only covered for one year and unlike other models i cannot find a replacement online so think this could be an issue in the future
