The draw backs are that the total volume is reduced to a normal kettle due to space needed for the filter and the product doesnt come with any filters

It really only holds a little under two mugs worth and i usually make large mugs of hot water so it a little annoying to continuously refil or make multiple

Easy to clean on the outside though the compartment to filter the water isn’t removable so this is tricky

Filter that came in box was damaged so could not use if i hadn’t bought extra so bit disappointing

Youll need to put in a new brita cartridge every 30 days which obviously isnt cheap and also youll only be able to put in enough water for 2 12 to 3 mugs of water due to its design to accommodate the brita filter
