Pros & Cons
Pros
It gives evenly toasted bread whatever the thickness and the 'brownness' adjuster works as it should. Easy to clean with a quick wipe over with a damp cloth then a buff with a dry one. It is compact and looks good.
Cons
Only toasts part of the bread top inch/2. Also is does no evenly toast, one side is overdone and the other hardly toasted even when adjusting the settings. This toaster only toasts 3/4 of a standard slice.
When the lever is fully depressed the bread protrudes above the toaster by 2cm. Slots too short for standard sliced loaf. A normal loaf size is about 14cm by 13cm. The first two compartments are temperamental, sometimes it works sometimes not.

It means that no longer do i have to try to squish down bagels and crumpets so that they dont get mangled in slots

Now i can just pop them in and toast them with no mangling and pieces breaking off in the slots needing to be cleaned up after toasting

The only slight glitch with my toaster was that i bought it as a warehouse item so it was used like new and when i got it it was dented on one side presumably by being bashed about during transit but that does not affect its performance and it still works well so i decided to keep it but got a slight reduction in price for it being dented

For those reviewers who state the toaster does not toast the top part of the bread simply put the bread slices hovis in my case in sideways
