Pros & Cons
Pros
Brita filters effectively filter the water, improving the taste of your beverage. Noticeably improved taste of tea, so much better. I make more tea than the canteen at catterick.
The kettle is light and has an easy to hold handle. Fills to just right amount for two cups, which is economical. Enough for 2/3 cups and wonderful flavour. No scale, no leaks, no nb.
This is the 1st time i have come across a russell hobbs branded one. It appears to be well made and looks stylish. Russell hobbs is a brand i have known for many years and consider them to produce electrical goods that are generally good value for mon... Read More
Degree swivel is good, no need to think. The power cable is a reasonable 65cm in length. The only negative for me is that the power cord is shorter than i would have liked.
The cartridge change indicator appears to work well. Reduces chlorine, impurities and limescale. However, i now use it with re useable phox filters.
Cons
After 12 hours and only a dozen uses the kettle no longer auto switches when water is boiling, which could leave it to boil dry if unattended. The lid was cracked. It's difficult to boil just a small amount for 1 cup as there are no markings and the b... Read More
Maybe it's just a faulty product, but i won't buy another one. There is no sticky tape over the box, no instructions. There are clearly issues with the kettle and russell hobbs have not resolved this issue.

Price
I think it is very reasonably priced too.
Very efficient kettle at a great price .
But was very good value for money at £30.
Never had such lovely cups of tea and the price was good for the standard of this.
Packaging/appearance
Only box was damage looks like it is display item but for that price working with no fault.
Competitiveness
Bought a more expensive kettle locally quickly went back to the russell hobbs filter kettle.
