Pros

Perfect pour spout does a great job at eliminating splashes. Easy to change filter ( albeit a little fiddly). Kettle and filter works well with no signs of limescale.

Boils water quickly and quietly. This gets to the state my other kettles were within a couple of weeks in 3 months. Can't fault this kettle at all.

The kettle itself at £56 is exceptionally good value. Really nice kettle, no metallic or plastic taint. It is heavy, bear that in mind.

Cons

When it boils is sounds like a jet engine as it is so noisy, i even have to turn the radio up as this thing just drowns it out. The kettle leaks like a sieve all over the base plate which worries me from a safety point of view.

Russell hobbs is a pathetic excuse for a kettle. Takes forever to filter.

Filter failed to function before it's time up, even though it was prefed from a filter jug, leaving lime scale on the heated base.

I had three previously that were all made of plastic and on each of them the lid broke after a relatively short period of time.

Price

Almost £50 for a kettle shows how crazy the world has become.

Costs have ballooned since 2020 and so hopefully we get 4yrs again as that makes it a bargain

Since the water company seems to be charging us a fortune for water that tastes awful we’ve always filtered the water before making tea.

Only issue for me is the crazy price.

Packaging/appearance

Luckily when it arrived it looks good and solidthe glass looks nice but sometimes i myself will doubt a bit if it's glass or pl...  Read More

Competitiveness
