The kettle boils water quickly and efficiently and the noise is negligible.
The plastic is very thin and inspecting the new model the same weak design could be seen.
Such a shame and may look for a different kettle when this one fails.

Amazons price was very competitive and the kettle arrived the next day

Switched on but immediately noticed that the blue led base lights were not fitted any more just a red led in the on switch not happy

Upon inspection of the broken kettle a design weakness could be seen in the manufacture of the on switch mechanism

Only observation is it considerably noisier that our previous russel hobbs kettle when boiling water
