The shimmer you get from a metallic paint is usually from either mica (rocks) or some type of manufactured glitter. It is the same price as the big box hardware stores but our stores didn't carry the satin finish.

It just shows up better, and won't look as streaky. A larger one still has a little tackiness after several days. My husband teases that i wander the house looked for something else to spray gold.

It sprays out splotchy and drips and sputters all over the surface. It also leaves a white dusty powder spraying 6-8” from object. With a heavy layer it adds barely visible pitted texture, but nothing like an actual hammered paint.
